What is VitaDAO?

VitaDAO is a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) that funds early-stage longevity research. Members govern a shared treasury and vote on research proposals using the VITA governance token on Ethereum. Founded in 2021, it is one of the leading DeSci (Decentralized Science) organizations.

What is the VITA token?

VITA is an ERC-20 governance token on Ethereum. Holders can vote on research funding proposals, treasury decisions, and governance changes. VITA can be acquired on decentralized exchanges such as Uniswap.

How does VitaDAO fund longevity research?

VitaDAO funds research through Intellectual Property Tokens (IPTs). Each funded project mints an IPT representing ownership of the resulting intellectual property. The community votes on proposals, and approved projects receive funding in exchange for an IPT that the DAO holds.

What is DeSci?

DeSci (Decentralized Science) uses blockchain technology to fund, govern, and commercialize scientific research without traditional gatekeepers. VitaDAO is one of the leading DeSci organizations, focused specifically on longevity and aging research.

How can I participate in VitaDAO?

You can participate by acquiring VITA tokens to vote on proposals, contributing as a researcher or developer, or joining the community on Discord. Researchers can submit proposals for funding review by the Scientific Advisory Board.

How do I buy VITA tokens?

VITA tokens can be purchased on decentralized exchanges such as Uniswap using ETH. You need an Ethereum-compatible wallet (e.g. MetaMask), then swap ETH for VITA using the official VITA token contract address. Always verify the contract address on VitaDAO's official channels before purchasing.

How do I vote on VitaDAO governance proposals?

How can researchers apply for VitaDAO funding?
