What is your educational and professional background?

Our dentists are all highly educated and experienced. They graduated from places like the University of Toronto Dental Program, certified implant programs, and cosmetic dentistry programs, as well as have degrees in orthodontics. Dr. Nasser Derakshan has 20 years of experience at Smiles by Design and is registered with the Royal College of Dental Surgeons as a Certified Specialist in Periodontics, making him an expert on gum disease. He earned in DMD degree in 1976 in his homeland of Iran. He earned his Canadian Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree and completed a two-year residency in Periodontics

What services do you offer?

We offer general and cosmetic dentistry, which includes everything from routine dental exams to teeth whitening, bonding, and orthodontics We also work with patients regarding endodontics, and gum disease to prevent tooth loss and restoration.

How do you handle emergencies?

We offer dental emergency services. All patients have to do is call the emergency number to arrange for an appointment any time, day or night.

What are your office hours?

Our office has extended hours for the convenience of our patients. We are open until 8 p.m. during the week and have Saturday hours. You can request an appointment online, which makes seeing us even easier!

Do you offer any patient comforts or amenities to help with dental anxiety?

Our office offers many amenities including transportation to and from the office for appointments for those who need it. We also offer free cosmetic, implant, and orthodontic consultations. We care about the comfort of our patients. That’s why we have a warm, welcoming environment, sedation therapies available, and relaxing dental rooms where we see you quickly.

We will check when you arrive to see if our office is part of your insurance plan. We offer transparent pricing so you will know upfront what your co-payment will be.
