Yes, you can still use petTracer with bad mobile phone reception as it doesn't rely on mobile phone signals for its everyday operation.However, to locate your cat in an area where there is poor GPS signal you will need to make the HomeStation mobile and connect the HomeStation to the internet using your mobile phone's hotspot.
