How far in advance should I book my photographer?

As a 5 photographer exclusive full-time team, we have a lot of flexibility. Headshots can often be scheduled the same week, and one-hour portrait sessions typically need about two weeks of lead time. For weddings, we recommend reaching out 3-6 months ahead. But we love jumping on last-minute needs -- don't hesitate to ask.

What areas of Colorado do you serve?

We're based in Denver's Central Park neighborhood and travel to locations throughout Colorado and beyond. Travel to and from all locations within 45 minutes of our studio is included as a standard part of our pricing -- no hidden fees. We've even traveled as far as Europe for sessions, so wherever your vision takes us, we're in.

What types of photography do you specialize in?

We're a full-service studio with dedicated photographers for every session type: weddings and elopements, professional headshots and personal branding, family and maternity portraits, newborn sessions, senior portraits, corporate events and conferences, and commercial/product/food photography. Having specialists in each area means you get a photographer who truly understands your specific needs.

What's included?

Every hourly session includes professional retouching on your full gallery of images, digital delivery of all high-resolution files, and full printing and sharing rights -- so you can print, post, and share however you'd like. Plus, tax and travel are already included for local locations, so the price you see is the price you pay. (Travel fees may apply for locations more than 45 minutes from our Denver studio.)

What should I wear to my photo session?

The short version: wear what makes you feel confident, coordinate colors but don't match exactly, and bring an extra outfit if you'd like options. When you book with us, we're also happy to provide you with more resources for getting the best results from your outfit choices during your session.

How long does it take to receive my photos?

We pride ourselves on our speedy editing turnaround time here at From the Hip and we also offer expedited turnaround for particularly tight or last-minute deadlines. All images are professionally edited, color-corrected, and delivered via an online gallery where you can download, share, and order prints. For headshot sessions, you'll receive your proofs within 3 business days. For our one-hour or 90-minute sessions, you'll receive your gallery of fully retouched photos within 14 days. Do you offer video or videography?

Yes! We provide video services for our commercial clients and also include a social media-ready reel with all of our one-hour sessions at no additional charge. Just let us know what you need in your inquiry.

Can I see a full gallery from a session similar to mine?

Absolutely. Tell us your session type in our contact form and we'll send you a complete gallery from a similar shoot so you can see exactly what to expect -- not just the highlight reel, but the full delivery.
