Am I big enough to need a safety consultant?

If you have employees working with equipment, chemicals, heights, noise, or heavy machinery, you have regulatory obligations whether you know what they are or not. The size of your company does not determine whether you need help. The hazards your people are exposed to every day do. Scott works with companies across a range of sizes. The consultation is free, and the fastest way to find out if ERTK is a fit is to call.

What does this actually cost?

It depends on what your business needs. Some clients hire Scott for a single training or a one-time facility assessment. Others work with ERTK on an annual retainer that covers ongoing safety program management, training, and direct access to Scott year-round. The cost scales to the scope. Scott will meet with you, walk your facility, assess what you actually need, and give you a proposal with real numbers. No surprises.

What happens if OSHA shows up?

You call Scott. He has represented clients during OSHA audits and investigations. He knows the process, he knows the regulations, and he knows how to respond. If you are an ERTK client, OSHA representation is part of the relationship, not an add-on fee. If you are not a client yet and you just got cited, call anyway. Scott will tell you what you are dealing with and will explain how he can help.

Can I just handle safety myself?

You can try. Most companies do until something happens. The issue is not effort. It is knowing what you do not know. OSHA covers more than 30 regulatory areas across general industry alone. A single serious violation can carry a penalty of up to $16,550. A willful violation can exceed $165,000. The cost of a safety consultant is not an expense. It is insurance against the things you did not know were out of compliance.

I only need one training. Do I have to sign up for the whole program?

No. If a single training is what you need, that is what you get. Scott will let you know if he sees anything else worth addressing while he is there, but the decision is always yours.
