Can I practice in India on my return, after MBBS degree from Abroad?

Yes. As per the current rules of the National Medical Council (NMC), after graduating from abroad you must qualify the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) conducted by the National Board of Examination (NBE) to obtain a license to practice in India.

Can I get a job in Government Hospitals or apply in Medical Institutions of India after my medical degree from abroad?

After passing FMGE and registering with the National Medical Commission via the State Medical Council, you can apply for government and private jobs or start your own practice as a recognized qualified doctor in India.

How many times can I appear for FMGE?

There is no limit on the number of attempts for FMGE. The exam is conducted twice a year, in June and December.

What kind of food will I get in foreign countries if I go for MBBS abroad studies?

Students can cook their own food as kitchen facilities are available. Indian canteens and restaurants are available near universities. Markets sell rice, dal, flour, fruits, spices, milk, and other daily essentials.

Can I get a Bank Loan for MBBS studies abroad and to what extent?

As per RBI regulations, students pursuing education abroad can obtain loans up to Rs. 15 lakhs. The sanctioned amount depends on parents' income proof and bank eligibility criteria.

Are Foreign Medical Colleges listed in the World Health Organization (WHO) Directory?

Yes. Many foreign medical colleges are listed in the WHO Directory of Medical Institutions as published by respective countries.
