While AWS Trusted Advisor provides basic checks, Archmate goes deeper with comprehensive Well-Architected Framework assessments across all six pillars, multi-cloud support (AWS, GCP, Alibaba Cloud), detailed FinOps cost analysis, complete resource inventory tracking, and AI-powered recommendations. Archmate is designed for teams that need enterprise-grade governance and compliance reporting, not just basic optimization tips.

Is Archmate free?

Yes! Archmate is completely free for cloud environments spending under $3,000/month for 12 months. You get 7 complimentary Well-Architected assessments during your 7-day trial (one assessment per day), then full access to all features. Once you scale beyond $3,000/month in cloud spend, you'll transition to our Professional plan at 3% of your monthly cloud billing.

How long does it take to connect my cloud account?

Connection time varies by provider: AWS takes less than 5 minutes using one-click CloudFormation deployment that creates a read-only IAM role. GCP requires Infrastructure Manager setup with Git repository configuration (approximately 10-15 minutes). Alibaba Cloud uses manual RAM user creation with ReadOnlyAccess policy. All integrations use read-only access and never modify your infrastructure. Once connected, your first assessment completes within minutes.

What permissions does Archmate need?

Archmate requires read-only access to your cloud accounts. For AWS, we use a cross-account IAM role with ReadOnlyAccess policy. For GCP, we use service accounts with Viewer role. For Alibaba Cloud, we use RAM users with ReadOnlyAccess policy. We never request write permissions and cannot make changes to your infrastructure. You maintain full control and can revoke access anytime from your cloud console.

Can I use Archmate for multiple cloud accounts?

Absolutely! Archmate is built for multi-account and multi-cloud environments. You can connect unlimited AWS accounts, GCP projects, and Alibaba Cloud accounts under a single organization. There are no restrictions on the number of accounts you can connect - manage all your cloud infrastructure from one unified platform.

Do you support Azure or other cloud providers?

Archmate currently supports AWS (Amazon Web Services), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Alibaba Cloud with full Well-Architected assessments. Microsoft Azure support is coming soon and is in active development. If you need Azure support urgently, contact our team - we're prioritizing customers based on demand.
