Context is what the model sees in the current thread. Memory is the durable profile Anuma keeps for you across sessions—preferences, facts you choose to save, and continuity when you switch models. You control what is remembered and what stays private.

How is Anuma different from Claude and ChatGPT?

ChatGPT and Claude are single-vendor apps with their own memory rules. Anuma gives you one memory you own, many open and closed-source models to choose from, and everything encrypted and stored on your device.

Can I switch apps without losing context?

Yes. You can move between models inside Anuma without starting over. Your unified memory and conversation context carry over so you are not re-explaining your project every time.

How does AI memory work?

Anuma stores an encrypted memory profile on your devices under your account. Models receive only what you allow for a given chat. You can edit or delete memories anytime.

What happens if I delete a conversation or memory?

It's deleted for good. Anuma doesn't keep hidden copies for ads or training. Deleted means deleted.

What if I lose my device or switch phones?

Your encrypted memory is tied to your secure identity, not a single device. When you sign in on a new device, your encrypted memory can be restored without exposing it to others.

Can I choose when to use open-source models versus closed-source models?
