What does AmeriSteel do?

AmeriSteel is a family-owned steel service center and sheet metal fabrication company based in Metro Detroit, Michigan. The company supplies flat-rolled steel and provides laser cutting, press brake forming, MIG/TIG welding, powder coating, and mechanical assembly — all in-house. AmeriSteel serves OEMs, Tier 1/2 automotive suppliers, and industrial manufacturers from two facilities in Warren and Fraser, Michigan.

What steel products and raw materials does AmeriSteel supply?

AmeriSteel stocks hot-rolled, cold-rolled, galvanized, galvannealed, and aluminized steel in coils, sheets, and blanks. Additional materials include stainless steel and aluminum. We supply standard and automotive grades in a wide range of thicknesses, widths, and surface finishes. All material is available from our Fraser, MI service center, with same-day and next-day availability on many common grades.

What fabrication services does AmeriSteel provide in-house?

All fabrication is performed in-house at our Warren, MI facility with no outsourcing. Services include dual TRUMPF fiber laser cutting (3kW and 6kW, up to 1" steel), press brake forming, PEM hardware insertion, TIG/MIG and fiber laser welding, a full powder coating line with chemical pre-treatment, and mechanical assembly and kitting. This single-source capability means faster turnaround and tighter quality control.

Is AmeriSteel ISO 9001:2015 certified?

Yes. AmeriSteel holds ISO 9001:2015 certification covering our quality management system across both facilities. Every process — from steel procurement to final inspection — follows documented, audited procedures. Material traceability and certified test reports are available on request, making AmeriSteel an approved supplier for many automotive and industrial programs.

Where is AmeriSteel located?

AmeriSteel operates two facilities in Metro Detroit. Our steel sales and processing center is at 33900 Doreka Drive, Fraser, MI 48026. Our fabrication, welding, powder coating, and assembly shop is at 25770 Groesbeck Highway, Warren, MI 48089. Both locations are open Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
